What is NEET?

National Eligibility Entrance Test is an All India Medical Entrance Exam for admission to medical Colleges in India for Undergraduate Courses and Postgraduate Courses. It is a single entrance exam test which will be held for MBBS and MD courses offered by all 273 medical colleges, 140 run by governments and 135 under private management colleges and institutions. These colleges offer over 31,500 seats for MBBS courses and another 11,500 seats for PG degrees. The NEET UG Exam will be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education ( CBSE) while it will be the National Board of Examination that will conduct the NEET PG Exam


NEET 2013 Exam Date:-

The exam will be held in the last week of November 2013.


NEET 2013 Paper Pattern:-

NEET UG 2013 will have 180 questions divided in 4 equal sections for Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. Total time to complete 180 questions would be 3 hours (180 minutes).

30% marks each for Physics and Chemistry and 40% marks for Biology, i.e. Physics: 75 mcqs, Chemistry: 75 mcqs, Biology, 100 mcqs.

Who Can Apply For NEET 2013:-

A candidate must be Passed 12th class examination with minimum of 50% (General category) and 40% (Reserved category) in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Biology from a recognized board before admission


Where To Get The Application Form:-

Online form can be filled on the MCI official website
Offline form will available in all major towns,just fill the all given mandatory options and send to given address,after couple of weeks you will get Acknowledgement card to Home or check in Email,to confirm application status.

NEET Colleges 2013

There are about 316 medical colleges in the country. Out of these 146 colleges are being run by State and Central Governments and the remaining 172 colleges are under private managements. Out of these 172, there are about 50 deemed universities. Total available seats in Government colleges are estimated at 16400 and 19087 in private medical colleges. It is estimated that there are about 31,500 seats on offer for MBBS and also another 11,500 seats available in PG medical courses. The MCI also also made it clear that State Quotas and Reservations in Medical Colleges would remain intact as National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) will draw up ranks / merit lists at national and state levels separately for General Category, SC, ST and OBC and PD candidates.

Seats for PG medical (MD / MS) courses: 20,800 (Approximately)
