About CLAT Exam?

Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is an all India entrance examination which is conducted by 14 National Law Schools/Universities for getting admissions to their under-graduate and post graduate degree programmes (LL.B & LL.M). The two-hour admission test consists of objective type covering questions on English, general knowledge, basic mathematics, besides legal and logical reasoning

CLAT 2013 Exam Date:-

CLAT 2013 exam will be conducted in the month of May 2013.

CLAT 2013 Paper Pattern:-

The CLAT LLM entrance exam is an objective type written exam. There will be objective type questions for 50 marks and 10 short questions for 50 marks. Along with this there will be 2 essay type questions which will also be for 50 marks each.

CLAT 2013 Marking Scheme:-

The CLAT entrance exam will have a total of 200 questions having 1 mark for each of the questions. The subjects covered in the CLAT entrance exam includes English Comprehension which will be of 40 Marks in total. The exam will also have General Knowledge and Current Affairs question which will be for 50 Marks. The CLAT entrance exam will also cover numerical ability which is basically elementary mathematics for 20 marks. The entrance exam will also test student’s logical reasoning abilities and this will be for 45 marks.

Who Can Apply For CLAT 2013:-

For Undergraduate Programme:-

10+2 examination or equivalent with not less than 50% marks for general and 45% marks for SC/ST/OBC/PwD
Students taking qualifying examination in March/April 2012 are also eligible to apply
Age limit: Not more than 20 years in case of General/OBC category and 22 years in case of SC/ST/PwD as on 01st July, 2012.

For Postgraduate Programme:-

55% marks in aggregate in LL.B/B.L (50% marks in case of SC/ST/OBC/PwD
Students taking qualifying examination in May 2012 are also eligible to apply

Candidates can also apply online by visiting and following the instructions given at CLAT Website.

Printed CLAT Law Application Forms along with the CLAT 2012 Information Brochure will be available at the designated branches ( refer CLAT website www.clat.ac.in ) of the State Bank of India, or in any of Law Schools mentioned above against payment of  3000/- only (  2500/- in case of SC / ST / PWD on submission of proof ) inclusive of test fee and bank charges.

CLAT Results 2013:-

CLAT Results 2013 will be announced in May 2013 itself after the two weeks of the date of CLAT exam.
