About AIEEE Exam ?
AIEEE is an all-India common entrance test which is held by Central Board of Secondary Education on the basis of admission to professional and technical programmes in institutes accepting the AIEEE score like National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of information Technology (IIITs) Centrally Funded Institution, Deemed Universities and Institutions in States/ UTs (other than those covered by Joint Entrance Exam) State Level. Candidates who qualify AIEEE can seek admission into universities and institutions all over India for BE, B.Tech, B.Arch or B.Planning courses. Candidates are ranked on an all-India basis and state basis. It is one of the most prestigious engineering entrance examinations of India which is taken by over 9 lakh students in India every year.
AIEEE 2013 Paper Pattern:-
The exam consist of two paper -
Paper 1 has three sections which are Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Each section consists of multiple choice objective-type questions each of which has four choices. Out of the four choices for a given question, only one choice is correct. Paper 1 has a negative-marking scheme wherein an incorrect answer is negatively marked with one fourth of the maximum marks allotted to the question.
Paper 2 has three sections which are Mathematics, Aptitude and Drawing.
Mathematics, and Drawing sections have multiple choice objective-type questions and the Aptitude section has drawing-based questions. The duration of each paper is three hours.
AIEEE Exam Syllabus 2013
AIEEE 2013 exam dates:-
The examination is generally held on the last Sunday of April and results are announced in the last week of May or the first week of June.
Who can apply for AIEEE :-
Students who have passed the 10+2 (Class XII) or an equivalent exam from a recognized board in India with 50% marks for general category candidates and 40% for SC/ST/OBC/PH category candidates. Those appearing for the qualifying examination in the same year may also appear in the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE). The upper age limit to be eligible for the exam is 25 years. However, there is relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST/PH candidates. A student can attempt the entrance examination consecutively for a maximum of three years.
AIEEE Online Registeration :-
The application form can also be submitted online by visiting their official website by making the payment through Demand Draft or Credit Card.
AIEEE Offline Registeration :-
Candidates should retain a photocopy of confirmation page for future reference and correspondences. The applicant should attach Demand Draft of required fee (In favour of "Secretary Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi" payable at Delhi) and mention his/her Registration No., Name and Address on the back of the Demand Draft.
