Here are the details of UGC NET 2013 Exam, Dates, Paper Pattern, Centres, Colleges and Online Application Forms.
What is UGC NET?
UGC NET stands for University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test. The entrance exam is conducted by University Grants Commission to determine eligibility for lectureship and for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for Indian nationals in order to ensure minimum standards for the entrants in the teaching profession and research. The exam is conducted once in June & once in December. The test is conducted in Humanities (including languages), Social Sciences, Forensic Science, Environmental Sciences, Computer Science and Applications and Electronic Science.
UGC NET 2013 Paper Pattern :-
The test will consist of three papers. All the three papers will consist of only objective type questions.
Paper 1 :
Sixty (60) multiple choice questions of two marks each will be given, out of which the Student would be required to answer any fifty (50).
Paper 2:
It shall consist of fifty (50) short questions based on the subject selected by the Student. All questions are compulsory and carry 2 marks.
Paper 3:
This part consists of only descriptive questions from the subject selected by the Student. The Student will be required to attempt questions in the space provided in the Test Booklet.
UGC NET 2013 Eligiblity:-
* A minimum of 55% marks is required in masters.
* Minimum marks for SC/ST/Physically handicapped categories is 50% in master’s.
* The university/college for master’s should be recognized by UGC.

Where To Get The Application Form :-
The Students are required to download the Bank Challan Performa from the UGC website OR take photocopy from the UGC-NET Notification published in the Employment News and then deposit the requisite test fee in any branch of State Bank of India along with the bank charges (commission) of Rs.20/-.
UGC NET 2013 Results :-
The result will be declared in the months of October and April.
